Biography
I live in New York. I have a B.S. in cognitive neuroscience from Brown and an M.S. in science writing from MIT. From 2006-2010 I was the News Editor at Psychology Today. I left to write a book about magical thinking.
Why SilverJacket? In high school, I bought a silver metallic fireproof jacket for $15 from an Army/Navy guy at a flea market. I wore it for several years as my winter jacket. People came to know me by it.
There is footage online (from January 1997) of me torching my silver jacket while wearing it. If you ask nicely I will send you a link.
